How to Get There

The Island of the Wind is very easy to reach because it is very well connected to the continent and especially to Sicily.

By sea, connections are shared between Siremar and Ustica Lines, two marine companies which perform the transport with motor vessels that connect Lampedusa to Trapani and to Lampedusa and Linosa, the Pelagie Islands.

By airplane the island can be reached from a wider range of places. During the summer season it is possible to fly to the island directly from Milan, Bologna, Venice and Rome.

Flights connecting Sicily and Lampedusa, to and from Trapani and Palermo, are guaranteed the whole year round to ensure territorial contiguity so anyone wishing to reach the island between October and March must reach one of these two stopovers first, and hence catch a flight for Lampedusa.
